Boutique Hotels in Chicago

Chicago is one of my favorite U.S. cities. There’s something about it that pulls me back at least once a year. I love doing the touristy things like taking a selfie in Cloud Gate or standing on the glass bottom floors of Willis Tower. I could sit along Navy Pier all day and eat a deep dish pizza every night.

It’s not just the tourist stuff, though. It’s a city packed with creativity. There are amazing art galleries, museums, and concert venues. There are farmer’s markets on the weekends, beautiful walks along Lake Michigan, and really incredible restaurants.

Another thing I love doing when I visit is to check out a different boutique hotel in Chicago each time. There are so many beautiful, modern, and chic places that I can never stay in the same place twice!

Central City Views

One of the things I love about Chicago is how easy it is to get around. It’s an incredibly walkable city and when you don’t feel like walking, the train system is an excellent second choice. The Aloft Chicago City Center hotel is modern and colorful. I would love to stay in one of their rooms on the upper floors to wake up to a morning view of the city. It’s in the River North neighborhood, which is full of trendy cafes and restaurants and located a short distance from my beloved Navy Pier.

Luxury Near Wrigley Field

I love the history of Wrigley Field and since I’m not much of a baseball fan, I don’t feel like I’m betraying any other team by heading the stadium and rooting for the cubs when I visit Chicago. The Best Western Plus Hawthorne Terrace Hotel is perfectly located for walking to a game and enjoying the ambiance before and afterwards, too. The hotel is a far cry from the nearby stadium, though. The rooms are spacious and the beds are plush, but I would probably spend most of my time in the sauna and hot tub.

Splurge in Splendor

The Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is one of the most luxurious hotels in Chicago. Have a chef cook for you in your suite or enjoy the on-site restaurant. There’s a spa, fitness center and indoor pool to stay fit and relaxed. If you can pry yourself away from all there is to offer within the hotel, you’ll walk straight out into downtown Chicago.

Good Value in Downtown Chicago

Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago is a great hotel in the center of the city. If you book in advance, you can get a room for around $150, a really excellent price for the location and amenities. The rooms are full of natural light and big, plush beds. There’s a huge gym to keep fit and free breakfast each morning.

Airport Convenience

The Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport is the perfect place to stay if you arrive late at night or need to leave bright and early. You can easily get into the city with a train that connects the hotel to downtown. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that the windows are sound proof, something you rarely get at an airport hotel. You’ll get to enjoy a nice, quiet night’s sleep.

This has made me so excited for my next trip to Chicago. Which hotel should I try first?
